Happy New Year everyone. I hope everyone is safe and Happy! We had a very good Holiday with Family and friends.
I had to teach class the night of our union christmas party : ( but from what I heard everyone had a good time. My new years wish is for everyone
to have the best year ever, in their personal life as well as their sheet metal work.
I hope everyone keeps stopping by this blog
to see if I have found some more good stuff.

I just noticed that the Detailing books are on the ITI website. Very cool! I hope we get some ordered before they run out.
Can't wait to see them in my hands. I know that this Detailing curriculum will make some very big changes in our industry. Union companies will be able to
stay way ahead of everyone. In a way that no one has seen before. I wish that we had this information in our hands a couple of years ago. I will have to check with John D.
Local 265 in Illinois about going there to take the certification test. I can teach the course but can't become user certified?
There is no way that I will wait an other year or two.
Go to the ITI website and get your books NOW!!

that I couldn't possibly link to everything.

YES! We have our detailing books ordered. This will be the cutting edge of the future of the sheet metal trade.
A couple of websites caught my eye, one was
caddprimer which has some free stuff that you can download. The other one was
caddigest which has a lot of interesting articles and information.
A lot of good stuff!!
The
cadsociety.org website not only caught my eye but got me to thinking.
If the SMW detailers banded together to become a society. $25-$50 annual fee to log into a website to gather and share information. Would that be cool or what?
The fees would be used to keep the website going and to start donations to non- profit organizations that support the training and
of young adults that are interested in the sheet metal trade and computers. Special logos on hats and shirts! What would we call it?
ITI's detailer society? SMWDS?
Possiblities are endless! Let me know if you have any thoughts on this society idea.
