CADMAN

I am a Journeyman sheetmetal worker and have been in the trade since 1993 working with several mechanical contractors. In addition, I have worked in a custom metal shop making specialized metal parts.

For the past 10 years I have been working at Madison Area Technical College as a part time instructor, teaching AutoCAD to sheetmetal apprentices. For 15 years I have been working with AutoCAD using versions 12, 13, 14 and 2000 through 2011. With AutoCAD 2011 I can save to any version as far back as V.14. I am continually looking for AutoCAD improvements. I am a member of the AACC (AutoDesk AutoCAD Consumer Council) and an AutoCAD beta tester for the past 3 years. My involvement with Revit started when it merged with AutoDesk in 2008.

I am very familiar with Navisworks, having used it on several jobs while working with a mechanical contractor. I am also familiar with Microsoft Office software, Adobe Photoshop and several AutoCAD add-on packages.

Currently I am preparing for a LEED certification and AutoCAD user certification.

CADMAN currently has 4 PCs. The most powerful being a Dell M6500 Precision that is used exclusively for CADMAN projects. It has dual hard drives with Raid control, which automatically creates a mirror copy on the second hard drive.

As an experienced Sheetmetal Journeyman I understand what it takes to get an object from AutoCAD into fabrication. The knowledge of what the metal shop can and cannot do is as important as knowing how the AutoCAD software works. I look forward to working with you in the future. Quality is my highest priority.
